Bridge the gap
donate today
This campaign is to support those who cannot afford in-home care support and do not have Medicaid or Humana to help cover these costs. So many people are in need of in-home support that have financial restrictions holding them back from getting the care they need. We want to help bridge the gap between the people needing care, and those who receive it. You can contribute to help individuals in need today!
Every dollar counts.
Our goal is $10,000 for this particular campaign.
To give an example, for 15 hours a week, it would cost roughly $430. Multiply that times 52 weeks in a year, that's $22,360. Overall, $10,000 is not very much but this is only our first campaign. We hope to reach our goal this time and then do it again and again, until awareness is raised and the gap is bridged.

Burton Home Care Services with match donations in service hours of in-home care. We will match every dollar raised by providing in-home care for the individuals who qualify.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference
Every day, there are seniors and adults in our community who desperately need in‑home care but simply cannot afford it. Many live alone. Many struggle with chronic illness, memory loss, mobility challenges, or recovery after hospitalization. Without support, they face preventable injuries, declining health, and unnecessary hospital readmissions.
Your donation changes that.
What the Assistance Fund Does
The Burton Home Care Assistance Fund provides free or reduced‑cost in‑home care to individuals who meet strict financial and care‑need criteria. This fund ensures that people who cannot pay for help still receive:
-
Personal care and hygiene support
-
Mobility and safety assistance
-
Companionship and supervision
-
Light housekeeping related to health
-
Transportation to medical appointments
-
Respite support for overwhelmed family caregivers
These services allow vulnerable individuals to remain safe, supported, and independent in the place they call home.
Who Your Donation Helps
Your gift supports individuals who:
-
Live in South Carolina
-
Have a verified medical or functional need for in‑home care
-
Fall below income thresholds or demonstrate financial hardship
-
Have no available caregiver who can safely meet their needs
Every application is reviewed by our internal committee to ensure funds go to those with the greatest need and least resources.
How We Ensure Accountability
We take donor trust seriously. That’s why:
-
Funds are never given directly to applicants
-
All assistance is provided through Burton Home Care Services
-
Every hour of care is documented and tracked
-
Awards are capped to ensure fair distribution
-
Annual reporting shows how many families were helped
Your donation is used exactly as intended — to provide care, not cash.
The Impact of Your Gift
Even a small contribution can provide life‑changing support:
-
$50 provides one hour of personal care
-
$150 provides a half‑day of safety supervision
-
$300 supports a week of check‑ins for a senior living alone
-
$1,000 provides a full month of essential in‑home support
Your generosity helps someone stay safe, stay independent, and stay home.
